Newest Update

Hello Friends and Family,

We haven’t posted in a while (let’s be honest, we probably don’t have a blogging career in our future).  We have some updates for everyone.  As of November 1^st, we became a waiting family with our agency.  This means we are able to have our profile book shown to potential birth moms.  These birth moms look through the books shown to them and then choose a family to adopt their child.  That is what we have been waiting on since then.  Until…

WE’VE BEEN CHOSEN BY A BIRTH MOM!

That’s right folks, as of last week, we have been chosen by a birth mom.  We were even able to have a match meeting with her last week and she is wonderful.  Our prayers have definitely been answered.  As of right now, we are going to be parents to a baby boy!  We are over the moon excited and can’t express how much we appreciate all the prayers and support we’ve received from all of you.  You all have been our encouragement, and with Christ as our rock and our center, we knew this day would come.

Now you might have noticed I said “as of right now”, before.  This is because nothing is final until everything is signed and released in court and we have the baby in our home.  This period of time is going to be difficult and we will be anxious, but we know God has a plan.  If this is our baby, then he will be in our home, if not, then it wasn’t our baby. This is the reality of adoption.  Our prayer request now is that God reveals to us his plan as soon as possible.

At this point, we are hoping to bring our baby home after the first of the year.  We will keep everyone posted with any updates and news.  Thank you again for your love and support.  We were just talking today about how much love and genuine interest everyone has shown in our journey.  It is something we will share with our child for their whole life.
